Dhanwantri Generic Medical Stores opened in Municipal Complex, in front of District Hospital: Collector Rajendra Kumar Katara

Bijapur : Shree Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store Scheme launched

Bijapur 20 October 2021: Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission Member Ajay Singh, Municipal President Benhur Rawatia, Collector Rajendra Kumar Katara, Municipal Vice President Purushottam Sallur, SDM Bijapur, in the inauguration program of Shri Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store in the Municipal Complex in front of the District Hospital in Bijapur. Devesh Kumar Dhruv, all the councilors of Municipality Bijapur, CMO Pawan Meria, CMHO RK Singh, Chief Executive Engineer CSEB PR Sahu, media representatives and dignitaries were present.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today launched the Shri Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store scheme through video conferencing from his residence office here. Under this scheme, Chief Minister Shri Baghel inaugurated 84 shops in the state. Quality medicines will be available at affordable rates to the consumers from Shree Dhanwantri Generic Medical Stores. Consumers will get the benefit of minimum 50.09 percent and maximum 71 percent discount on the MRP of medicines.
         On this occasion Urban Administration Dr. Shivkumar Dahria Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar Industries Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma School Education Minister Dr. Prem Sai Singh Tekam MLA Mr. Mohan Markam Mr. Mohit Ram Kerketta and Mr. Purushottam Kanwar Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain Urban Administration and Development Department Secretary of Smt. Alarmelmangai DA, Chief Executive Officer of State Urban Development Agency, Mr. Saumil Ranjan Choubey was present. Through video conferencing, MLAs from different districts, Mayor councilors and many public representatives, collectors of the district also joined the program.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated home kit of medicines and travel kit on the occasion. This kit will be available for sale at Shree Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store. Medicines home kit priced at Rs 691 will be available in these medical stores at Rs 290 and travel kit which costs Rs 311 will be available at Rs 130.
Under this scheme run by the Urban Administration and Development Department, there is a plan to start 190 medical stores in 169 cities of the state in the coming time. It will be mandatory to sell 251 types of generic medicines and 27 surgical products in these medical stores. Apart from this, Sanjeevani products of the Forest Department, cosmetics products and baby food etc. will also be sold. The generic medicines available from these medical stores will be from 20 branded companies which will be affordable as well as quality.
