Chief Minister Chouhan wrote a letter to the Chief Minister of West Bengal and requested to get Indore Kolkata Special Train from Railway Ministry
Bhopal: On Monday, May 18, 2020, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has written a letter to West Bengal Chief Minister Ms. Mamta Banerjee regarding the return of migrant workers of West Bengal working in Indore.
Chief Minister Chouhan has written in the letter that migrant workers from different regions of West Bengal work in Indore. During the lockdown, these migrant workers want to go back to their home state, but due to the long distance and no official means of transport, some migrant workers are leaving for West Bengal via private vehicles, which is expensive. -With inconvenient and unsafe option.
Special trains have been arranged by the Ministry of Railways, Government of India to take the migrant workers to their home state. So far, about one lakh seven thousand migrant laborers have been brought back to Madhya Pradesh safely from other states by the Madhya Pradesh government through 85 labor special trains and this process is going on continuously.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan requested to Ms. Mamta Banerjee in the letter that there is need for intimation to Central Railway Ministry to run a special train from Indore to Kolkata for the convenience of the laborers of West Bengal who want to go to their home .
