GOD’S TIMING >>> I can’t explain how grateful I am to represent my home state of Georgia this year on the Miss America stage. Thank you GOD for anointing and trusting me with this blessing of a job. It’s been 14 years since a black woman has been crowned Miss Georgia; and with today being the first year that our state has observed Juneteenth as a federal holiday, I truly can’t put into words how honored I am to be in this position. 
I promise to represent all that WE have to offer, to advocate for those with exceptionalities who aren’t in a position to do so themselves, and to capitalize upon my God-given gifts to the best of my abilities throughout my reign, and after. Congratulations to The Miss Georgia Class of 2022- you ALL were incredible and inspired me so much. I couldn’t be more honored to have worked to make an impact within our state alongside you all throughout this year. I appreciate all of the love & support that I’ve been shown this year, this week, & last night (I promise I’m doing my best to respond to everyone!!) so much more than you all could ever know. This is for US. Time to get to work!

Social Impact Initiative: My SII aims to promote inclusivity through teaching Awareness, Acceptance, and Advocacy of the Autism community and their families in order to spread ways for everyone to cohesively exist, while feeling appreciated and understood within different environments.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received? Anytime I question myself or my purpose, my mom asks me, “Are you going to trust Him or not?”. This advice has served as the perfect reminder throughout my life that God has already given me the tools to reach my fullest potential- my job is to simply execute and have faith in His plan for my life.

The best word to sum up this entire almost 10 year journey: gratitude. Second chances don’t come around often.. I can’t imagine stepping into this opportunity without the overwhelming desire and determination to capitalize. This organization has shaped my life & character, but also my perspective. The woman I am today wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for God’s grace and all of the influential people that He has meticulously placed in my life at different points in time throughout the MAO. I promised myself on June 17th, 2022 to remember that this year will never be about me- & only/always about selfless service. Interestingly enough, I’ve found that that is what fulfills me anyways. Grateful would truly be an understatement. Thank you Matt & Mere for everything you’ve done for me- so many aspects of this dream truly wouldn’t be possible without you, your generosity, & love. And as always, thank you GOD. You amaze me time & time again. I hope I’m making you proud, Georgia! It’s only up from here. 🤍
