Miss Allen County Teen USA is Now New Miss Indiana Teen USA 2022

Sunday April 10, 2022: Outgoing Queen 2021 Miss Indiana Teen USA Lexi Gryszowka crowns the 40th Miss Indiana Teen USA 2022 KK Kokonaing in colorful coronation night at Noblesville High School, 18111 Cumberland Rd, Noblesville, IN 46060 in presence of distinguished guests, sponsors, contestants, former winners, and VIP Guests, including the reigning MISS USA. She was judged winner by Judges Maria Smith, Dr. Lori Hart, Annette Grundy, MJ Coyle and Josh Rogers after extensive pageant activities including active wear round.

Kokonaing made history by becoming the first Burmese-American to compete in Miss Teen USA in its 40-year history.

As Miss Fort Wayne’s OT, I want to use my platform to speak for my Burmese people. 
Right now in Myanmar, innocent civilians are being killed by the Military Coup. Children as young as 1 and elders alike are being robbed their human rights. 54 million people are fearing for their lives, hundreds and hundreds have been beaten, raped, and killed. Instead of learning how to read or how to write, the children in Myanmar are learning how to fight and how to hide. 
There may not be many ways to physically give, but when we raise our voices we pay tribute to those fighting for freedom, fighting to ensure a better future for their children, OUR children.

Today, I crown the new Miss Indiana Teen USA. This day is so bittersweet, and I’m so thankful to have had the opportunity to represent Indiana. Although this chapter of my life is closing, I’m so excited for what the future holds, and for every opportunity that comes next. I am forever grateful for my family, director, sponsors, friends, and others that have supported me every step of the way. I love you all so much.
