Reigning Queen Miss Chinatown Hawai'i, Miss Hawaii 2021 Courtney Choy has just crowned her successor the winner against 15 Contestants Miss Honolulu, Lauren Teruya Miss Hawaii 2022 at the end of grand finale in Ala Moana Hotel in Honolulu on Sat, May 14, 2022.

Lauren Teruya Miss Hawaii 2022 will represent her HI State at Miss America 2023 Competitions in the Mohegan Sun Uncasville where Emma Broyles Miss America 2022 will crown her successor 95TH Miss America 2023 at end the Grand Finale on Thu, Dec 15, 2022 who emerged WINNER in 51 Contestants.

Lauren Teruya Miss Hawaii 2022 is a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) and a published journalist, teacher at Yoga Room Hawaii, student, and an adventure enthusiast. She holds a BA in Journalism and Theatre along with an MA in Specialized Journalism from USC. As Miss Hawaii 2022, she serves as a champion for Arts For All, advocating for universal arts education.

During her final year in college, she interned with the legal team at BuzzFeed News, investigating the damage and theft that occurred during the insurrection at the Capitol. Other publications she’s written for include L.A. Taco, Jackson Hole News & Guide and Dishing Magazine.

When she’s not working, Lauren is most likely exploring the outdoors or rehearsing for a show at Diamond Head Theatre.
