Sun, Jul 2, 2023 Hollywood and Baha Mar: The Crowning of Melissa Ingraham as Miss Universe Bahamas 2023 just happened when she emerged winner against 9 contestants at the end of Grand Finale in The Pageant Venue is Atlantis Showroom at Paradise Island today on Sunday July 2nd 2023 which started at 8pm. Ingraham competed as Miss Long Island 2023.

Newly Crowned Melissa Ingraham Miss Universe Bahamas 2023 will represent her nation The Bahamas with national flag at the upcoming 72ND Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador where the reigning Miss Universe 2022, R'Bonney Gabriel will crown her successor at the end of Grand Finale.

New Queen Melissa Ingraham is the 19th entry to Class of Miss Universe 2023 and The First Bahamian in the era of Dr. Anne JKN.

The Contestant's Statement

Ingham has told about herself "Hello to all my new followers! I'm Melissa Ingraham, an environmental scientist, project manager, and passionate advocate for climate change action. I grew up in Nassau, Bahamas where I spent a lot of time outside and very early on I found my love for the environment."

"Over time, this love has translated into leading initiatives aimed at promoting positive climate action. From orchestrating fruit tree plantings to facilitating mangrove restorations, and organizing community events, my mission has always been to sow the seeds of sustainability in our society."

"I'm thrilled to step into the Miss Bahamas Universe pageant. My hope is that I can reach more people, particularly the young women in The Bahamas. I aim to inspire them to pursue their dreams fearlessly and also echo the urgency of my message about climate change."

"The focus of my platform is straightforward: Climate change is here, and we must act to halt its damaging effects. Through my journey in the pageant, I hope to illuminate the path to sustainable practices and the measures necessary for us to unite and protect our planet.
