Miranda O’Bryan is CROWNED Miss South Dakota 2023

Sat, June 3, 2023 Hollywood and Brookings: The Reigning Queen Hunter Widvey Miss South Dakota 2022 has just crowned her successor, the winner against 19 contestants, Miss Missouri River Miranda O’Bryan as new Miss South Dakota 2023 at the end of Grand Finale Streamed LIVE Anywhere on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 which started at 6pm CDT in The Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center in South Dakota State University, Brookings.

The Court of Miranda O’Bryan Miss South Dakota 2023 has Four Runners-up, 1st Runner-up Carly Goodhart, 2nd Runner-up Payton Steffensen, 3rd Runner-up Baylee Dittman and 4th Rubber-up Rio Snyder.

O’Bryan has also won the preliminary award at the Miss South Dakota Competition Friday night. She says "ss South Dakota is a great ‘place’ that helped make me a great ‘face’ and I wouldn’t be who I am today without you all supporting me and this organization!"

Martin's Miranda Orth O'Bryan is currently a student at South Dakota State University. Newly crowned Miranda O’Bryan Miss South Dakota 2023 will represent her SD state at the upcoming 96TH Miss America 2024 where at the end of Grand Finale the reigning queen Grace Stanke Miss America 2023 will crown her successor who emerged winner in 51 contestants as new Miss America 2024.

Miranda O’Bryan is the 5TH Entry to The Class of Miss America 2023 after Madison Marsh Miss Colorado 2023, Caroline Parente Miss Rhode Island 2023, Brooke Mills Miss New Hampshire 2023 and Yamuna Turco Miss Vermont 2023.

O’Bryan says she chose to get involved in the Miss South Dakota competition because of the incredibly positive impact the organization has had on her life over the last two years. She works as MMJ / anchor for KOTA TV and KEVN, was Rapid City Rush in-game host in 2020-21 and anchor for Black Hills FOX News.

O’Bryan says competing for the job of Miss South Dakota has improved her confidence immensely and has also given her the opportunity to improve her singing and speaking skills. She says she has also made connections with so many other amazing young women who she can look up to and rely on. We are glad you’re here, Miranda!
