Port-au-Prince, Friday, October 27, 2023: Today Miss Haiti Organization released a media communique saying "Miss Haiti Organization wishes to inform the public and our partners that, this year, Haiti will not be represented in the Miss Universe 2023 Competition."

The organization further elaborated "This situation stems from various organizational and logistical challenges that have hampered our ability to meet the requirements of the prestigious competition. As an organization committed to the empowerment of women and the promotion of cultural diversity, our priority is to preserve the integrity of our commitments to our candidates and our mission."

The Organization also expressed gratitude and confirms its commitment to Haiti Pageant "Miss Haiti Organization warmly thanks our sponsors, partners, candidates, and supporters for their continued commitment to our organization. Although we will not be present at the Miss Universe Pageant this year, our dedication to empowering young women in Haiti remains constant. We will continue to work on initiatives that strengthen our organization and support women in Haiti.

Haiti will compete at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador, Registrations open May 15th

The Reigning Queen is Mideline Phelizor Miss Haiti 2022 and Top 16 Miss Universe 2022 and her runners-up are Valierie Alcide and Murielle Brunache

Thu, May 25, 2023: The Miss Haiti 2023 contest will take place entirely online until the selection of the 5 finalists. It offers the possibility for candidates to compete from the comfort of their home. The Organization informed "Once selected, the applicants will be presented to the general public through audio-visual content (photos, videos, live), which will allow the public not only to know them better, but also to choose (vote) those who will reach the top 5."

Wed, May 10, 2023: Today Miss Haiti Organization has issued Online Notification on the launch of registrations for the 11th Miss Haiti 2023 Contest starting Monday, May 15, 2023. At the same time, Miss Haiti Organization confirms Haiti's participation in the contest of Miss Universe 2023 which will take place in El Salvador in December 2023.

Miss Haiti is a female beauty pageant held in Haiti since 2013. The Miss Haiti competition aims to provide a platform for young women to showcase their talents, intelligence, beauty and provides a unique opportunity for women to build their confidence, develop their leadership skills and improve their personal and professional growth.

Miss Haiti Organization, introduced this year a new format for the conduct of the contest. With this in mind, any young Haitian girl, meeting the eligibility criteria, can participate in the competition from anywhere in the world. More information about the new terms and conditions of the competition will be communicated in the coming days.
