First Asian American Miss Illinois Teen USA 2020, Long Grove’s Victoria Blair Rhemrev, 17 crowned Chicago’s Gissell Bahena Miss Illinois Teen USA 2021, 17 at Braden Auditorium Normal on Sat, June 26, 2021. Gissell Bahena represented Illinois to compete Miss Teen USA 2021.
Till now Illinois has only one Miss Teen USA 1984 Cherise Haugen. If the new queen wins at Miss USA 2022 she will be the second Illinoisan teen getting the national crown home.

#1: Be a sponge and soak up everything! This is YOUR time to shine your light with all the preparation you’ve worked for.
#2: Don’t compare yourself. Simply said: everyone’s journeys been different, Whether this is your first pageant or 3rd, your exactly where your supposed to be.
#3: Believe and trust yourself that you have the infinite potential. Your only limitations are those you set upon yourself.
#4: Take a deep breath. Feel in this very moment how it feels and give gratitude!
#5: Trust in gods timing
