With Miss New Hampshire USA just 5 days away, I’m filled with gratitude for how pageantry has transformed me. I’m proud of the woman that I am, and I’m proud of the journey that has brought me here.
It hasn’t been easy, but I’m so thankful that today I can go up to a girl who is struggling and genuinely say that I know what it’s like. I know what it’s like to fail classes, I know what it’s like to lose a parent as a child, I know what it’s like to be unsure of where you’ll sleep that night. However, I also know that there is joy and success on the other side of hardships. The skills that I’ve gained through pageantry and the incredible community of women that pageantry has surrounded me with changed my life.
Today, I am here to advocate for girls who are on their journey. There is always hope.
