You must know the inspiration and rock solid force behind Lexington Native Meera Bhonsle's Mother in the most admiring daughter;s words "This one’s for you, ma! ♥️, In 5 weeks I’ll be making my way down to North Charleston to compete for my dream job that is Miss South Carolina USA.
I’m feeling extra grateful for this lady and her sacrifices in helping me make this dream come true. My mom is undoubtedly the most hard working person I know. She does so much to make sure I have everything I need each year, and if you know me, that does not come at a low price, LOL!
Fun fact: mom would watch TV in English when she first came to the US from El Salvador as a young teenager to learn the language. One of her favorite things to watch was beauty pageants. She once told me that she had always wanted to compete in one, but never had the opportunity to. A dream that she had as a teenager transpired into my life and that goes to show you that this entire journey is, and will always be, #MoreThanMyself.

Miss South Carolina USA Competition is State Preliminary to Miss USA and Miss Universe Pageant which is officially produced by RPM Productions. The affiliation of RPM productions granted in 1979 and first state director Paula Miles was appointed. She saw her first Miss South Carolina USA Shawn Weatherly, who emerged winner of Miss USA Crown. Miss Teen USA pageant was founded and opened up the Miss Universe Organization in 1990. RPM Productions gained Louisiana and later in 1992 awarded Miss North Carolina USA Pageant.

The latest Miss South Carolina Contest all set to go on floor today March 4 and Tom March 5, 2022 in North Charleston for you to enjoy in-person and online streaming modes.
