The Curaçaoan Contestant Thiany Braafhart is a mother who is contesting under new rule which allows married woman and mother to compete under Miss Universe Franchice. Thiany has said posting beautiful pictures with her daughter “A journey that brings with it an abundance of love, joy, and purpose. As a mother, I have experienced the purest form of love and the greatest sense of purpose in my life.” She adds “My daughter is a miracle from above, and being her mom is a privilege I am grateful for it every day. However, the hardest part of motherhood is knowing that I won't be here forever to take care of her. But I take comfort in knowing that the love and joy we share will last a lifetime.”

The I want to reflect on some things
The day I decided to participate in Miss Curaçao, everything changed in a postive way. I got to experience new things to grow and improve myself. I gained alot of confidence, I learned to love and accept myself for who I am, I learned to love my body. I got to learn with catwalk, public speaking and everything that came along the road to miss Curaçao and the preparations.
With a lot of strength I am going to prepare myself for this Saturday.
For me we all are winners no matter the outcome this Saturday, being on a stage infront of a lot of people and the judges trying to compete for the Miss Curaçao 2023 crown and to represent our country means we all won!
I’m proud of myself and everything I have achieved so far, I can’t wait for all the exciting things. I am gratefull for everything and everyone!
