Thu, June 1, 2023 Hollywood and Buckhannon: The Reigning Queen Krystian Leonard Miss West Virginia USA 2022 and Top 16 Miss USA 2022 has just crowned her successor, the winner against 19 contestants, Miss Charleston USA Nevaeh Harmon as new Miss West Virginia USA 2023 at the end of Grand Finale in The Pageant Venue Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts in West Virginia Wesleyan College, College Ave, Buckhannon on Sunday, June 4th, 2023 which started at 3:00pm.
Newly crowned Nevaeh Harmon Miss West Virginia USA 2023 will represent her WV State at the upcoming Miss USA 2023 Pageant where The reigning queen R'Bonney Gabriel Miss Texas USA 2022, Miss USA 2022 & Miss Universe 2022 will crown her successor at the end of Grand Finale in the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. New Queen Nevaeh Harmon is The First Miss West Virginia USA in Dr. Anne Jakrajutatip Miss Universe Ownership.
Harmon is the 72ND Miss USA 2023 Contestant and The 39TH Entry to The Class of Miss USA 2023.
Representing West Virginia, Nevaeh Harmon is a pre-med student at Marshall University, studying Biochemistry to become a pediatric physician, while also working as a certified pharmacy technician. She is also the former Vice President and former Chief of Staff of the Student Body at the university. Her mission as the representative of her state is “to inspire women and girls to dream bigger and to lead without fear”.
As a Black and Filipina woman in STEM, Nevaeh finds it imperative to show our youth to look within for their confidence and strength, and to be the example that no matter who you are or where you come from, you are more than worthy of achieving everything that your heart desires. Nevaeh was born and raised in Charleston, WV, and having the opportunity to represent those ‘country roads’ that raised her is something that she holds close to her heart.

I am so excited and honored to have received this title, and I’m even more excited to see what this year has in store! I can’t wait to fulfill my platform of Unity in Diversity, making sure that when ALL students come to campus, they know that Marshall is a place that they can call home.
I want to give a huge shoutout to my family, who has given me nonstop support throughout the last two weeks. I really don’t know what I would do without you to fall back on.
