The current crown holder Sylvia Masters, Miss Louisiana USA 2023 has crowned her successor Sydney Taylor as Miss Louisiana USA 2024 at the end of coronation show who became winner against 27 Contestants at pageant venue the Jefferson Performing Arts Center in Metairie. The final was Streamed LIVE at PageantsLive.com on Saturday, March 30th starting at 7:30pm.
Born and raised on the bayou, Sydney Taylor is a graduate of Louisiana State University with her bachelor’s degree in accounting. With plans to earn her Juris Doctorate at LSU in the fall of 2025, followed by a Master of Law in tax, Sydney aspires to be a successful tax attorney in the future.
Sydney was a state champion softball player and has remained involved in the game as a coach. Knowing the impact sports can have on our youth, Sydney founded an organization called Play with a Purpose, where she collects equipment and donates to young athletes in need.

After crowning Taylor shouted next day “Louisiana, I’m yours!!!! I can’t even express the amount of gratitude I feel to have the chance to represent Louisiana at Miss USA and to spread love across the state for a whole year. Thank you to all my people who got me here. I couldn’t do it without y’all. Sylvia Masters , you were the epitome of class and grace throughout your reign and set the bar so high. AND CONGRATULATIONS ON BECOMING A FIANCÉ!!!!”
