She shared after interview "I was able to share my heart & story with the judges!" Angel Reyes was crowned at Braden Auditorium, Illinois State University, Normal on Mon, May 30, 2022.

She will represent her state Illinois at Miss USA 2022. Till now there 3 Miss Illinois USAs, If she wins, will be the fourth.

Last night I competed in one of the biggest and stiffest competitions I’ve had in my career. I was 2nd runner up and I am honored and grateful to have been in the top 3 amongst 71 of the most talented, resilient, and fearless women I’ve had the pleasure to get to know. Thank you @vanbrosgirls for having an organization that empowers women to be confidently beautiful!! Thank you to my friends and family for their endless love and support.
