Sun, Apr 16, 2023 Hollywood: The Reigning Queen Alexina Federhen Miss Vermont 2022 has just crowned her successor, the winner against 10 contestants, Miss Green Mountains, Yamuna Turco as new Miss Vermont 2023 at the end of grand finale today on Sunday, April 16, 2023 which started at 2pm at Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center Stowe located in The Lodge at Spruce Peak.

Newly crowned Yamuna Turco Miss Vermont 2023 will represent her VT state at the upcoming 96TH Miss America 2024 where at the end of Grand Finale the reigning queen Grace Stanke Miss America 2023 will crown her successor who emerged winner in 51 contestants as new Miss America 2024.

Official Bio

Yamuna is studying Psychology and Political Science and Saint Michael’s College. Yamuna became involved with the Miss Vermont Scholarship Organization because of the organizations of community involvement and advocacy. Her CSI is entitled “One Book, One Child” and focuses on increasing childhood access to books.

In her free time, she is a student leader through the Mobilization of Volunteer Efforts, she sings in her college acapella group “AcaBella’s,” a fitting hobby as she will be singing for her talent!

Yamuna shares that her favorite place in Vermont is Burlington, because the diverse collection of people and their experiences have made it so easy to learn and grow (and the food options are to die for!). One fun fact about Yamuna: She grew up on a cattle ranch.
